Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences was selected as one of the first demonstration bases for scientific research instrument maintenance cooperation
On January 27, the third general meeting of the first session of the Zhongguancun State based Condition Science and Technology Resources Sharing Service Innovation Alliance and the second meeting of the first session of the Professional Technical Committee for Scientific Research Instrument Maintenance were held in Beijing. At the meeting, five scientific research instrument maintenance cooperation demonstration bases identified by the first batch of the Alliance, including Xi'an Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, were awarded. Yu Guirui, Chairman of the Alliance and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as responsible officials from the Basic Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Platform Center, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the Zhongguancun Management Committee, attended the meeting.
The demonstration base for cooperative maintenance and repair of scientific research instruments aims to strengthen the construction of the domestic high-end instrument maintenance and repair system, ensure the stable and efficient operation of domestic high-end instruments, support and guarantee scientific and technological innovation. It is self declared by universities, research institutes and other units, and approved and recognized by the alliance council after expert review and branch review.

In the future, the research institute will fully leverage its own advantages and leading role, actively carry out domestic attempts and replacements for the maintenance and repair of large-scale scientific research instruments, and promote the independent research and innovative development of our research instruments and equipment, in combination with the institute's main responsibilities and research directions, to promote the output of original scientific and technological innovation achievements. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen cooperation and coordination with domestic instrument manufacturers and third-party scientific research instrument maintenance enterprises, promote the construction of the research institute's scientific research instrument maintenance system, enhance the ability to ensure instrument operation, and assist in the research and development of instruments and key core components, as well as the promotion of domestic instrument applications.
