Maintenance and Repair of Hall Effect Gauss Meters

Gaussmeter (Teslameter) made according to the principle of Hall effect has a wide range of applications in measuring magnetic fields. This instrument is composed of two parts, the Hall probe as the sensor and the whole instrument. The size, performance and package structure of the Hall element in the probe play a key role in the accuracy of the magnetic field measurement. The Hall probe generates a Hall voltage due to the Hall effect in the magnetic field. After measuring the Hall voltage, the magnetic induction intensity can be determined according to the Hall voltage formula and the known Hall coefficient. Gauss meter readings are in Gauss or Tesla. Gauss is a common non-legal unit of measurement, while Tesla is a legal unit of measurement.

1) The Gauss meter cannot be repaired, disassembled or modified without authorization.

2) Use the power supply within the specified range, and it is forbidden to connect with the power supply outside the specified range.

3) It is forbidden to drop the Gauss meter and its supporting sensors to the ground or give strong impact.

4) It is forbidden to touch the probe and tip of the sensor by hand, and it is strictly forbidden to heat the sensor, apply adhesive, and paste tape.

5) Gauss meter is strictly prohibited in direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity, water, oil, dust, corrosive air, vibration and other places.

6) Strictly observe the operating temperature range and storage temperature range.

7) It is forbidden to avoid using the Gauss meter when there is condensation on the surface of the Gauss meter (which occurs when it is rapidly transferred from a cold place to a warm place).

8) It is forbidden to place the Gauss meter in the machine that generates the magnetic field, especially the magnetizer/demagnetizer/microwave oven/welding machine/motor, etc.
